Hi,
I believe that the BBC iplayer software is windows only, so the only option is to watch in your browser while on-line. to do this you will require Adobe's flash plug-in.

I think cups only listens to localhost by default, so to access web admin interface from lan, the cupsd.conf file will need to be edited to show :

Find the key combination to unlock access the BIOS settings (use Google or handbook) and press them/it while the machine boots then have a look through the entries for something that says halt on VGA...
Hi,
I would check the BIOS for "halt on ***" entries and make sure halt on VGA or similar is set to off.

If you just need to look at and not edit the file, VariCAD have a free .dwg file viewer app (2D only).

Hi,
I completely cleared the browser cache and have since been able to get to medibuntu.org a bit more reliably and I double checked sources, seems OK now.
Thanks,
Doug
Strange I'm getting address not found
Hi all,
Does anyone know about the problem with the medibuntu servers/site? they seem to have been down for days now.
Also does anyone know if there is a Hardy mirror.
Thanks,
Doug

Hi,
Canon printer support is patchy at best, and there don't appear to be any open source drivers for your particular model.
There are commercial Turbo print drivers for that model or can it...
I think that the Canonical partner repo has to be activated in software sources.

Talking to someone recently about IPcameras and apparently the better ones have a little web server built in to administer, but most of the cheap ones sold on fleabay and the like are only accessible...
@Beno1
Firstly welcome to the forums and thanks for explaining how you installed fwbackups on Jaunty.
The developer suggested this as a possible solution on bugzilla.redhat, glad it works for you...
Not much help I'm afraid but that does look like a build error.
This looks like a similar error message although it's on 1.43.3rc1 with a possible slution:

Here is a list of dependencies taken from the source code:
where it says build requires I'm presuming that the development files are also needed.
BuildRequires: desktop-file-utils...
What error messages, if any are shown when you start fwbackups from the terminal.

Hi,
Out of curiosity I had a go at building fwbackups and i have it installed but as yet have not used it in anger.
QT development files have to be installed and the dependencies:

Hi,
Have you tried going to View > Zoom > and checking Zoom text only.
This should do the trick.
There is a utility called parcellite available from getdeb that is quite useful for holding cut or copied text etc:

Hi,
Not sure if this what you are looking for but here is an uncomplicated program to print multiple images:

Might have to be built from source...
Be careful, i think that yellow RCA maybe "spdif" digital sound out.
Hi,
Has this modem got an Ethernet connection? if so use it instead of the USB and it should work OK. USB requires special drivers.
