Same problem here, U36S with Intel Core i5-2410
Ran check with gparted, worked like a charm. Thank you!
Yes, it is an external hard drive, sorry I forgot to mention that. I didn't list all drives in my df to make it easier to read my question.
How do I do a file system check? Thank you
fat32
EDIT: fat32 on system, ntfs on the HD in question
Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/sdb1 916.9G 890.6G 0 100% /var/media/1tb
How is this possible? Available disk space doesn't...
Yes, I tried editing it, but missed the fact that that line had a mistake.
Thank you both very much. Guess this could be useful for others as well
erind: could you test your script and paste a working one? Really had my hopes up there
erind, you're magnificent!
Thanks a lot!
EDIT: Doh! It did not work :\ Can't figure out why by it makes duplicates of the "from" folder.
Thanks!
I have never spaces in file/folder names, so that is not a problem.
Got the script to work, now I am working on a way to restrict the script to only copy 15 files at the same time. A bit...
Thank you very much! This should be easy enough to test out, but remember that I have just mounted the sftp drive, so I am just using basic cp and ls commands to do the operation, which will make it...
Thank you, but I was trying to avoid that way and find a more automated one.
Maybe a script of some kind?
Hi,
I want to be able to open several threads when copying a folder with many files, like I am doing when using filezilla for transfers (transfer up to 10 files at the same time).
Can anyone...
Thank you all! This is really appreciated. Will make sure to upgrade my computer and play a bit more secure in the future.
Thank you!
Well, a little bit off topic, but is xbmc stable for 12.04? I am only using this box for xbmc and had a lot of struggle getting it up and running, and haven't touch it since. That is two years ago...
Thats true... Damn it
Of course, won't use it until the case is cleared, so to speak :)
I have activated the native remote desktop sollution in Ubuntu, nothing else, and it says it is not connectible from the internet, even though I am able to.
Simple SSH server is set up, no...
But how come this user suddenly logged in to my remote desktop? And I can't seem to find the log over remote desktop connections.
But my XBMC works so well so I don't wanna configure it all over again.
Anyway, my log in /var/log/auth.log.1 says
Jan 21 13:50:37 mediacenter sshd[32624]: Failed password for bin from...
Yesterday some unknown IP suddenly logged in (twice) to my computer which I use as a mediacenter, and I think a script was executed but didn't work as it should since I had xbmc running.
Does anyone...
I had the same problem, even after editing the script. What I did was edit the .posting, .postrm and .prerm scripts, run the package installer and it finally worked.
I sure wish people would respond to this thread... Having a problem where my nvidia-drivers wont work with your script, if people would have helped you with this it could have been the most awesome...
I did as in the guide, trying to "sudo /etc/init.d/deluge-deamon start" and get
* Not starting deluge-daemon, edit /etc/default/deluge-daemon to start it.
so I assume it is already started, but...
Same problem with the Dell xps m1330 at 9.04. Any updates on this?
